Here’s a list of every country I’ve truly experienced on my travels. I don’t count places where I’ve only driven through or passed through an airport — to me, “visiting” means diving into the culture: tasting the local food, exploring the attractions, and getting a feel for life there.

Every traveler has those special places that linger in the heart — the ones we dream about returning to again and again. These are my favorites, the countries that captured my imagination and keep calling me back:

Least Favorites
Just as I have my favorite countries, it’s fair to share the ones that didn’t quite resonate with me as my favorites did. Even so, each of these places offered meaningful experiences — from learning about their culture and everyday life to discovering unexpected moments of beauty and joy. I simply don’t feel the same pull to return. As you might guess, it’s a short list:
